Parents are a vital part of making our hybrid school run smoothly and successfully. We are dedicated to equipping parents with tools to make the homeschool experience more peaceful and fulfilling. This includes training on teaching in the classical method and other resources to help parents with the instruction on at-home days.
Families are required to fulfill volunteer positions at Coram Deo several days each semester. The specific number of days is determined once enrollment closed. Most often parents can plan on 3-5 days per semester. One example of may be Parent-of-the-Day, who will help with tasks such as student drop-off, study halls, student pick-up, and end-of-day clean-up. This may be fulfilled by either parent, a grandparent, or other adult who has clearances on file with the school.
Clearances for all volunteers are required. Please include a copy of PA Child Abuse History Certification and Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Record Check for one or both parents (or another adult such as a grandparent) who plan to fulfill these volunteer hours with this application.
If clearances have yet to be obtained, they may be mailed to the school before August 1. Students whose parents have not sent in clearances for this reason may not begin in-class schooling until this requirement is met.
